Migrating to new Billing System

In our on going effort to provide our customers with the best services available, we will be changing the internal billing system utilized for managing the billing/administrative portion of your account. This new system has a more user friendly interface with more capabilities than the existing system.

This upgrade will enhance the invoicing system and enable you to manage your billing records hassle free. The system is called WHMCS, and a leading application for many hosting companies.

Why This Upgrade?
We have been receiving suggestions and feedback from our valued customers informing us on how we can improve our existing billing system. Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to switch over to a more efficient billing system so as to provide improved services to our customers.

When Will the Upgrade Take Place?
On or about July 17, 2010 at 09:00 AM MDT, your account records (https://accounts.accuwebhost.com) will be activated in WHMCS (https://manage.accuwebhosting.com). Please note the shift to WHMCS will not have an impact on your existing account (hosting services). The only change you will observe is in your Billing Login URL and the new system interface.

What Does This Mean To You?
Your existing billing records will be migrated to the new billing system (WHMCS). To manage your billing records, you will have to use the WHMCS system.

Regarding Domain Name Pricing

Earlier this year, VeriSign Registry announced that they would be raising prices for selected domain name extensions on July 1st, 2010. Unfortunately, this decision impacts us and all other domain name owners, and as a result, we are left with no other alternative but to raise the domain name registration/renewal price w.e.f from July 3, 2010. The new domain pricing (new registration/renewal) will be as follow:

.com - USD 9.99/year
.net - USD 9.99/year
.org - USD 9.99/year
.biz - USD 9.99/year
.info - USD 9.99/year
.us - USD 11.00/year
.in - USD 20.00/year

Enabled SSL/TLS for FTP on Linux Servers

We have disabled plaintext authentication for FTP and enabled SSL/TLS for FTP connections on our following Linux servers:

72.18.139.34
64.27.55.162

You will require using FTP over explicit SSL/TLS option in your FTP client to access your web site via FTP.

Catch All Email Accounts Are Disabled on our Windows servers

Please be advised that AccuWebHosting.com is no longer supporting catch-all email accounts hosted on our windows servers. Catch all email accounts have resulted in an influx of spam, which at times can create a noticeable lag on our email server, consequently preventing us from providing the most optimal email performance to our clients.

Alternatively, you may create individual email accounts. You may also create individual email forwarders and have them forwarded to a single POP3 email account. For example, if you want to accept emails for customerservice@domain.com, sales@domain.com and support@domain.com and wish to have all those emails received at admin@domain.com then you can easily create admin@domain.com as the POP3 account and all other email addresses as email forwarders.
